Title:
CUTTING DEVICE OF STANDING SEAM JOINT END OF SPIRAL PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3742311
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cut and remove a sharp standing seam joint end occurring at the winding terminal side end of a spiral pipe.
SOLUTION: This cutting device comprises rotation rollers 12 and 12 for rotating the spiral pipe 1 around the pipe axis at a predetermined rotation torque, a stopper 22 disposed closely to the outer peripheral surface of the winding terminal side end of the spiral pipe 1 on the rotation rollers 12 and 12, and a nipper 17 disposed movably back and forth in the pipe axis direction at a position spaced from the stopper 22 by a cutting width. The sharp standing seam joint end 3b of the spiral pipe 1 is engaged with the stopper 22 to stop the rotation of the spiral pipe 1 while slipping it, and the nipper 17 is progressed during the stop to cut the sharp standing seam joint end 3b.
