Abstract:
To provide a cutting device, automatically detecting whether a cutting blade is in the disabled state or not without confirmation work of an operator through visual observation.
In this cutting device, a part of a sheet-like medium is cut by a cutting blade. The cutting device is provided with a detection means for detecting whether the cut part is completely separated from the sheet-like medium or not, and according to the output, it is determined whether the replacement of the cutting blade is needed or not.
