Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a metallic ring corrugated pipe completely at an accurate position by fitting a non-contact type sensor for detecting the top or bottom position of a wave to be cut with a non-metallic sheath covered.
SOLUTION: A corrugate pipe 1 guided to a guide part is detected by a sensor 6, and the top 33a of a corrugation 33 to be cut with a non-metallic sheath covered is detected. The sensor 6 is positioned below the corrugate pipe 1, and detects the top 33a of the corrugation 33 with the top plate 40a of a base 40 moving. After the detection, the sensor 6 is separated from the corrugate pipe 1 to extend the piston rod 42b of a cylinder mechanism 42, rotate a cutter 7 and approach the corrugate pipe 1. It is thus possible to cut the corrugate pipe 1 at the top 33a of the corrugation 33 to be cut.
