The discharged rod cutter moves one rotary shaft 4 of a cutting rotary shaft arranging disk cutting blades at prescribed intervals and a gathering rotary shaft 4 arranging a gathering body corresponding to the disc cutting blades to the two positions of approaching and separating so as to vary an interval between the shafts to the other rotary shaft. Corresponding to the two positions of the approaching and separation of a bracket 5 pivoting both tips of the moving-side rotary shaft 4, pins 6 and 7 are erected at a device frame, one locking member 8 to be engaged with these pins 6 and 7 is provided for the bracket 5, and the movement of a switching lever 9 and that of the member 8 are linked with each other by the operation of a switching lever 9 moving the rotary shaft 4 so as to disengage the member 8 and the pin 6 from each other and to engage the member 8 with the other after moving the shaft.
