Abstract:
PURPOSE: To release heat stress generated by grinding heat, by arranging radially extending slits in the base metal of the cutting grind stone having a cutting edge on the outer circumference thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The cutting grind stone 7 has the grind stone layer 5 around the thin platelike base metal 1. The base metal 1 has a center hole 2 to be fitted to a driving shaft and the slits 3 extend radially from the center hole 2. Due to the slits 3, heat stress generated by grinding will be released, and therefore deformation of the cutting stone is prevented and the cutting properties are improved.
