Abstract:
To provide a self-tapping fastener having a cutting edge effective for the fastener or a reinforced cutting edge.
The cutting insert 10 for the thread-like fastener includes: a. a plate member having a flat surface and an end; b. a shape of an abuse angle arranged at a tip end of the insert; and c. at least one thread projection part 28 on a side end for cutting a groove and providing a passage to which a thread 18 of the fastener is inserted.
