To enable a cutting jig to easily cut a cover material, by constituting the jig by a bow shaped main body part and a wire stretched between both ends of the main body for cutting an insulating material (cover material) to cover the outside of piping for coolant gas connecting between an indoor machine and an outdoor machine of such as an air conditioner.
A cutting jig 1 to cut an insulating material 3 comprising a foam material to cover the outside of piping 2 had a main body part 4 made by bending a metallic pipe into an almost L-shaped bow form. Both ends of a wire body 5 comprising a stainless steel wire with 0.3-0.4 mm of the diameter is tied between hole parts 4b formed on flat plate parts 4a on the both ends of the main body part 4, and the wire body 5 is stretched to constitute the jig. The wire body 5 is stretched slightly looser between the both ends of the main body part 4. Synthetic resin such as polyamide is coated on the outside of the wire body 5. When the insulating material 3 is to be cut, the coating is peeled off for cutting.
