Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method and device for a sheet metal drum improving the working efficiency by smoothly inserting the drum into a drum retaining member and highly precisely cutting by preventing damage to the drum.
SOLUTION: When the drum A is internally inserted and retained to the drum retaining member 4, at first, the drum A is stored inside cylindrical correcting members 7 and 8 and the circumferential wall of the drum A is corrected into an approximately perfect circle. Then, the correcting members 7 and 8 are inserted into the drum retaining member 4 with the drum A stored therein. When the drum A is corrected by the correcting members 7 and 8, the drum A is put in the correcting members 7 and 8 opened by diametrically divided into a plurality of parts and then, the correcting members 7 and 8 are diametrically closed to correct the drum A.
