PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration due to the chemical reaction by an adhesive and a flaw, on the optical face of a lens, making it in a high temperature for softening the adhesive, etc., by joining to the holder for working with the face excepting the optical face of a plastic lens.
CONSTITUTION: The flange part provided on the outer periphery than the optical face of a plastic lens 2 is joined to the holder 3 for working and the cutting of the lens 2 is performed by cutting tool. The straightness in the diameter direction of the flange part of this plastic lens 2 is measured, the joining face of the holder 3 is processed in the same shape as this and the adhesion of the joining face of the plastic lens 2 and holder 3 is improved. Consequently, the elastic deformation of the plastic lens 2 of the time when the both are joined is prevented and the deterioration of the lens shape accuracy by the elastic recovery generated at the time when it is released from the holder 3 can be prevented.
