Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform the cutting work for a pocket deep and having a small radius of curvature in inner corners and an inner corner called pin corner having an acute angle such as 90 degrees.
SOLUTION: A cutting tool 50 having a cutting edge 52 (53, 54) in at least one side of a base 51 is used. The cutting tool 50 is rotated and relatively moved together with a work in a plane parallel to the tool base in accordance with the rotation angle of the cutting tool 50 so that vertexes (a, b, c) of the base 51 including the side forming the cutting edge draws a moving locus conforming to the shape of an inner corner to be cut, thus cutting the inner corner by providing a depth setting motion in a direction of a tool axis.
