Title:
CUTTING METHOD UNDER NON-SUSPENSIVE WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3220131
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discharging chips generated when cutting an existing pipe under a non-suspension water sufficiently outside from the inside of a sealed case.
SOLUTION: A notched flow passage 43a from which water in the existing pipe 1 flows out during the cutting is provided on the outer circumference of a cutting tool 4, and the notched flow passage 43a is formed so that the section thereof is generally reduced closer to a base end face 46 from a tip face 40 of the cutting tool 4. A discharge hole 25 for discharging chips is provided at the position away from a cutting tool insertion hole 28 in the circumferential direction R is made in the sealed case 2. The discharge hole 25 is made at the position of the angle smaller than 90° in the first direction R1 of the circumferential direction R from the cutting tool insertion hole 28, the existing pipe 1 is cut while turning the sealed case 2 in the first direction R1, and the chips are discharged together with water from the discharge hole 25 along the first direction R1 through the flow passage 43a.
