PURPOSE: To provide a method wherein a cutting work is applied on a work by using a single cutting tool to form the work in a cut shape in one cross section different from that of the given front shape of a cutting edge.
CONSTITUTION: A cutting method is such that rotational displacement around at least two axes of an A-axis and a C-axis is controlled and applied on a cutting tool 40, formed in the given front shape of a cutting edge being a spring tool shape, through a machine main spindle 34 by using a pentaxial or a hexaxial type machine tool 20 in a movement process along a relative movement locus between the cutting tool 40 and a work W. A cutting work is applied on the part to be machine of the work W to form it in a machined shape in one cross section different from that of the front shape of a cutting edge.
