PURPOSE: To almost eliminate the vibration of the cutting part of a drill, by setting the same inclination angle for faces which define the relief angle of the cutting edges of the drill, as the cutting edges in whichever position the faces are located on the basis of the tip point of the drill.

CONSTITUTION: A drill 11 comprises a plurality of spiral grooves 13 and cutting edges 12 on the tip. Faces 14, which define the relief angle of the cutting edges, are set at the same inclination angle as the cutting edges 12 in whichever position the faces 14 are located on the basis of the tip point O of the drill. This results in almost eliminating the vibration of the cutting part of the drill in cutting. Since the drill is scarcely vibrated, a hole bored by the drill and having a smaller diameter than the drill can be chamfered well.
