Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically grind a cutting part in a short time by moving the cutting part to a predetermined position with the use of an adjusting means, by turing the cutting part with a predetermined angle so as to determine a shape of the cutting part after grinding, and then by making the cutting part in contact with a grinder rotated by a drive means.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary part 16 is rotated by a predetermined angle so as to set a grinding angle for a knife 1. A grinding wheel pully 49 is attached being inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the axial direction of the knife 1 so that no setting of an angle is required. A distance between a position where the knife 1 exists, and a position where the knife 1 makes contact with the pulley 49, is calculated with the use of a light emitting part 54 and the light receiving part 55 so as to determine a descending distance of the cutting edge of the knife 1. An elevating part 15 is lowered by the calculated distance so that a cutting part polishing mechanism A is pushed out by an air cylinder. Then, an air motor is driven so as to rotate the pulley 49 at a high speed while the knife 1 makes contact with the pulley 49 so as to grind the cutting edge of the knife.
