Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure to detect the position between mandrels in a cutting position detecting device of a braider machine manufacturing braid products consecutively utilizing a unit length of the mandrel.
SOLUTION: The cutting position of a front end is determined based on the detection result of the front and rear positions of a mandrel M. Sensors 154 measuring the external diameter of a braid product Br in a tapered shape to detect a position where the measured value changes largely are provided at the front and the rear of the mandrel M, and the cutting position is determined by the detection timings of the front and the rear sensors 154. The sensors detecting the front end position are provided on an arm 149 holding the front part of the cutting position.
