Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool which increases a flow rate of a cooling liquid and can efficiently supply the cooling liquid to a center part and outermost peripheral part of a cutting edge while minimizing deterioration of strength of the cutting tool.SOLUTION: A cutting tool 100 includes a race face 14a, and a flank 10. A cooling liquid supply hole 1 is formed on the flank 10. A ridge line of the race face 14a and the flank 10 structures a cutting edge 13. An outer shape 30 of the cooling liquid supply hole 1 in a cross section S orthogonal to an axial line O includes a first part 31 facing to the cutting edge 13, and a second part 32 on an opposite side of the cutting edge 13 when viewed from the first part 31. The first part 31 has a recessed part 40 extending to the second part 32. The recessed part 40 is defined by a first side part 41 and second side part 42 facing each other, and a bottom part 43 connected to both of the first side part 41 and second side part 42. An angle θ1 formed by a tangent line 41a of the first side part 41 and a tangent line 42a of the second side part 42 in the cross section S is 160° or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
