PURPOSE: To turn a square bar type bean curd without providing a driving mechanism such as a special cylinder mechanism on a turning-sideways support plate by pivotally installing a lower end part of the turning support plate on a front end part of a ramp and energizing the front end part of the ramp in the frontward falling direction by this support plate and a spring.

CONSTITUTION: A horizontal guide plate 3 to support a molded bean curd 2 is provided in a water tank 1, and a ramp 5 is provided adjacent to this guide plate 3 with a cutter 4 between them free to go up and down. A base end part of a turning support plate 10 is pivotally installed on a front end part of this ramp 5, and this support plate 10 is energized in the frontward falling direction by a spring 12. Thereafter, a bean curd 2a cut by the cutter 4 is placed on the ramp 5 at a lowering position of the ramp 5, the cut bean curd 2a is raised in the state of supporting it by the upper surface of an upper plate 6b of a guide member 6 and the back surface of a patch plate 6a by a rising motion of the ramp 5, the cut surface of the bean curd 2a is turned upward as the support plate 10 is turned sideways by the spring 12 at the upper limit position, it transferred forward as it is, and after it is cut in a cake of bean curd, it is packed.
