Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cyanate ester compound and a curable resin composition etc. containing the compound, which are capable of providing a cured product excellent in heat resistance and moisture-absorption resistance.SOLUTION: The cyanate ester compound is represented by the general formula (1) in the figure. (Ar1 is an aryl group; R1 are monovalent substituents and are each independently H, an alkyl group or an aryl group; Ar2 are each independently a phenylene group, a naphthylene group or a biphenylene group; Ar3 are each independently a phenylene group, a naphthylene group or a biphenylene group; R2 represent monovalent substituents and are each independently H, an alkyl group, an aryl group or a cyanato group; x is an integer from 1 to 40; y is an integer from 1 to 20; n is an integer from 1 to 4 and m is an integer from 0 to 4, satisfying 1≤n+m≤5; and the x repeating units and the y repeating units may be arranged distinctly in series or arranged alternately or randomly.)
