Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula (R1 and R2 are 6-14C alkyl; X is anion).
USE: A recording layer of optical data-recording media.
PREPARATION: Trimethylamine and pyridine are added to a reaction product of 2,7-dimethoxy-1, 4, 5, 8-tetrahydronaphthalene, thiazoles and alkyl p- toluenesulfonate and the mixture is refluxed. Then a compound capable of forming an anion such as sodium perchlorate ad alcohol are added thereto and the mixture is refluxed and then the product is separated and purified.
