The cyclic metal cord C1 is characterized by untwisting an original cord 20 prepared by twisting at least seven strands 1 around a core strand 2 in a diameter pattern rate of 70 to 91%, and circularly winding and fitting a surplus length portion 1e into a spiral space portion 5 prepared by removing one strand 1 from the original cord 20 and having a circular circumference formed with strands less by one strand than the strands of the original cord 20.
