To provide a compound useful as an intermediate for the production of oseltamivir phosphate and provide a method for producing the compound.

The invention provides a compound expressed by general formula (I) (R1 is an isocyanate group or amino group which may have a protecting group; R2 is a hydrogen atom or a protecting group for an amino group; preferably R1 is an isocyanate group and R2 is a hydrogen atom, or R1 is a protected amino group and R2 is a hydrogen atom, or R1 is a protected amino group and R2 is a protecting group for an amino group).
