To provide a method for oxidation from a cycloalkane to a cycloalkanol/cycloalkanone mixture using a new catalyst.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for oxidation from a cycloalkane such as a cyclohexane to a cycloalkanol/cycloalkanone mixture, using trifluoromethanesulfonate or bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imidate of metal such as Fe, Cu, Y, Ce, In, Bi as a catalyst, and a hydroperoxide compound such as tert-butylhydroperoxide as an oxidizing agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
