Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R1' is H, ethyl, n-propyl, etc.; R2' is H, halogen or 1-5C alkyl; R3' is halogen, 1-5C alkyl, 1-5C alkoxy, 1-5C alkylthio, etc.; R4' is H, 1-5C alkyl or 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl; R5' is OH or (substituted) phenylcarbonyloxy; R6' is 1-5C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, etc.] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 5-(1,3-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-3-hydroxy-2-propionyl-2-cyclohexen-1- one.
USE: An insecticide.
PREPARATION: The objective compound of formula III can be produced by the rearrangement reaction of a cyclohexane compound of formula II in the presence of an inert solvent (e.g. methanol or ethanol) and a catalyst.
