Title:
CYCLONE TYPE WATER DISCHARGE OPENING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3856533
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the capacity and prevent scouring, by providing a water- discharge nozzle in a cylindrical head tank in which a water pipe is eccentrically fixed through a reducer.
SOLUTION: A conical reducer 43 constricted from a tank 42 to a nozzle 41 is provided between the cylindrical water-discharge nozzle 41 and the cylindrical head tank 42, and a water pipe 40 is eccentrically fixed to the tank 42 to constitute a cyclone type water-discharge opening. This cyclone type water- discharge opening is installed horizontally on a base frame 44 for instance. When using it, discharge water conducted from the pipe 40 to the tank 42 is forced to form a vortex flow in the tank 42 accelerated by the reducer 43 and discharged horizontally from the nozzle 41 as a spiral flow. A spiral screw for generating a spiral flow may be provided instead of the reducer in the water-discharge nozzle. In this way, since the flowing speed is rapidly reduced at the initial stage of water discharge, the influence range of scouring can be reduced and the diluting effect with the peripheral water can be remarkably increased.
