Abstract:
To provide a cyclopentene ring-opened copolymer used for a tire rubber composition excellent in wet grip properties and low heat build-up properties, a method for producing the same, and a rubber composition obtained by using the cyclopentene ring-opened copolymer.SOLUTION: The cyclopentene ring-opened copolymer of the present invention comprises cyclopentene and a norbornene compound. The weight ratio of a structural unit derived from the cyclopentene is 40-90 wt.% and the weight ratio of a structural unit derived from the norbornene compound is 10-60 wt.% to all repeating structural units in the copolymer. The copolymer has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 200,000-1,000,000 and a cis/trans composition ratio of double bonds present in the main chain of 40/60-100/0.SELECTED DRAWING: None
