Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as an antimicrobial agent, carcinostatic agent, etc., having excellent stability.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (R1 is H or lower alkyl; R2 to R5 are H, hydroxyl group-protecting group; R5 is water-soluble functional group- substituted acyl) such as (11R,12S)-1-trimethylsilyloxy-11, 12-di(t- butylmethylsilyloxy)-6-methyl-6-vinylbicyclo-[7,3,0]-dodeca-9-ene-3,7-diyn-5-yl-o- carboxybenzoate. The compound of formula I is obtained by converting a compound of formula II as a starting raw material to a compound of formula III and treating this compound with a base such as butyllithium in a solvent such as THF.
