Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce paper supply changing frequency and to improve the efficiency of work for changing a plate and others by a method in which in cylinder arrangement, plate and rubber cylinders are interlocked with an impression cylinder on the upper and lower sides of the impression cylinder, each plate cylinder shaft center is set on the vertical tangential line on the periphery of the impression cylinder, and each rubber cylinder shaft center is set at a position shifted slightly in the impression cylinder shaft center direction.
SOLUTION: Eight plate cylinders 1 and eight rubber cylinders 2 have equal diameters, the diameters of four impression cylinders 3 are four times as large as those of the plate cylinders and the rubber cylinders, and a five cylinder type two-color printing unit is formed by the combinations A, B, C, D of two plate cylinders 1, two rubber cylinders, and one impression cylinder. In A and C, the rubber cylinders 2 are contacted with each other above the impression cylinder 3, the plate cylinders 1 are contacted with each other above the rubber cylinders 2. In B and D, the rubber cylinders 2 are contacted with each other below the plate cylinders 3, and the plate cylinders are contacted with each other below the rubber cylinders 2 so that the impression cylinders 3 are connected horizontally to each other. The shaft center O1 of the plate cylinder 1 is on the vertical tangential line 5 of the impression cylinder 3, and the shaft center O2 of the rubber cylinder 2 is at a position shifted slightly in the direction of a vertical center line 6 passing through the shaft center O3 of the impression cylinder.
