Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacturing line of the cylinder block for the V-type engine and the I-type engine as a whole.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder block 1 having a bank 3 only on one side in the width direction is selectively formed by removing either of the right and left banks of the cylinder block in a V-type engine, or by executing casting of a casting mold 7 with a plug 8 filled therein by making use of the casting mold 7 of the cylinder block in the V-type engine.
