To obtain a highly precise cylinder block after assembling in an engine so that the inner peripheral surface of a bore is processed by reproducing the distortion of a cylinder block assembled in an engine at low cost as a product without using a dummy head.

A cylinder block manufacturing method is configured such that the cylinder block 10 having a pressure-receiving projection 10b and a pressure mechanism 22 for pushing the pressure-receiving projection 10b are located on the side face of a cylinder outer wall 13 corresponding to the vicinity of the lower end of a water jacket 15 with the cylinder block 10 fixed, and honing applied on the inner peripheral surface 14 of the bore in a state that the pressure mechanism 22 pushes the pressure-receiving projection 10b of the cylinder block 10 in a direction where a diameter of the inner peripheral surface 14 of the bore is reduced.
