Abstract:
To provide a cylinder block which can suppress the lowering of the roundness of cylinder bores at an operation.SOLUTION: In a cylinder block to which a cylinder head is fixed with bolts, the cylinder block has holes into which the bolts are inserted, cylinder bores into which pistons are slidably accommodated are formed in a plurality of pieces, a water jacket is arranged at a periphery of the cylinder bores, a portion between the holes and the cylinder bores out of the water jacket is deeper than a portion other than the portion between the holes and the cylinder bores, and a portion between the adjacent bores, being a portion at a lower end side of the cylinder bores is thicker than a portion other than the portion at the lower end side of the cylinder bores.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
