Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder cover which eliminates local stress generated at an edge of a cylinder head gasket and can improve the durability of a cylinder liner, and the cylinder head gasket.SOLUTION: The cylinder cover 40 is arranged on the cylinder liner 20, and sandwiches the cylinder head gasket 54 between a lower face 40a and an upper face 20a of the cylinder liner 20. At the internal peripheral side of the lower face 40a, there is formed one circumferential groove 61 continuing along the circumferential direction which is positioned inside the radial direction rather than the internal peripheral end of an upper face 54a of the cylinder head gasket 54, whose external peripheral end is positioned outside the radial direction rather than the internal peripheral end of the upper face 54a of the cylinder head gasket 54, and which coincides with the internal peripheral end of the lower face 40a.
