Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving type cylinder device having a position detecting function capable of instantly detecting a piston position.SOLUTION: A piston 10 is inserted into a housing 1 in such a way that it can be ascended or descended, and driving pressurized fluid can be supplied or discharged in respect to a driving chamber 12 installed below the piston 10. A lower rod 19 connected to the piston 10 is stored in the driving chamber 12. A limit switch 36 is fixed to an installing hole 33 formed at a lower wall 3 of the housing 1. A detecting rod 37 for use in detecting a position of the piston 10 can be stored in an insertion hole 31 arranged at the lower rod 19 so as to be opened downward. When the piston 10 is moved to a prescribed position, the detecting rod 37 is pushed down by the pressurized fluid in the driving chamber 12. A position of the piston 10 is detected by detecting motion of the detecting rid 37 with a limit switch 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
