Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a cylinder direct injection type internal combustion engine in such a way that a combustion stability degree can be assured even under a state in which a fuel pressure is low.SOLUTION: A control method of this invention is carried out in such a way that a gas flow is formed in a cylinder, a fuel injection for injecting fuel ignited around an ignition plug is carried out subsequent to a compression stroke and mixture formed by fuel injected through fuel injection is ignited with spark ignition. Further, the control method of this invention includes: a compression first half injection that is carried out before fuel injection during the compression stroke to inject fuel ignited around the ignition plug so as to change the gas flow to such a direction as one in which the combustion is stabilized; and a compression ratio control that is executed to change an effective compression ratio of the cylinder direct-injection type internal combustion engine when the gas flow cannot be changed up to a state in which the combustion stability degree can be assured only under the compression first half injection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
