Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scavenging tank and a cylinder frame for a two-stroke large internal combustion engine having compact and flexible assembling processes.
SOLUTION: A scavenging tank of a two-stroke large internal combustion engine and cylinder frames 30 and 30' for positioning on the frame 2 of the engine's crankcase are disclosed. A plurality of holes 39 for receiving and supporting the same number of cylinder lines 6 are provided in the upper surfaces of the cylinder frames 30 and 30' and expansion plates 50 extend from sidewalls 32 of the cylinder frames 30 and 30'. The sections 56, 57, 60 and 62 of the scavenging tank are positioned between the expansion plates 50.
