To solve a problem of a lean air-fuel ratio around a spark plug and thereby to improve combustion property of fuel and increase in output torque, in a cylinder fuel injection type internal combustion engine comprising: a cylinder head 3 closing a top of a cylinder 2 in a cylinder block 1; a pair of right and left intake ports 8 disposed to the cylinder head and opening downward and toward a combustion chamber 5 recessed under a lower face of the cylinder head; and the spark plug 11 disposed to the cylinder head and positioned approximately at the center of the combustion chamber, and further comprising a fuel injection valve injecting the fuel diagonally downward.
The fuel injection valve is provided with: a first injection port 12a injecting the fuel to spread out in a fan-like form when seen from an axial direction of the cylinder; and a second injection port 12b injecting the fuel to spread out in the fan-like form when seen form the axial direction of the cylinder. Angular difference is set between a diagonally downward injection angle θ1 of the first injection port 12a and a diagonally downward injection angle θ2 of the second injection port 12b.
