Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly incorporate a vacuum chamber into an engine irrespective of an engine form.SOLUTION: A cylinder head cover 5 is assembled into an upper part of a cylinder head 3 which comprises an intake-side cam shaft 41 and an exhaust-side cam shaft 42, and a drive mechanism part which rotationally drives the respective cam shafts 41, 42 by transmitting rotation forces of a crank shaft to end parts of the cam shafts 41, 42. The cylinder head cover 5 includes a first cover constituting member 5A fixed to the cylinder head 3, and a second cover constituting member 5B fixed to the first cover constituting member. Since the first cover constituting member 5A and the second cover constituting member 5B form a closed space having a prescribed volume in a position corresponding to the drive mechanism part in cooperation with each other, a vacuum chamber 50 which uses the closed space as an accumulation chamber is integrally formed.
