Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a fuel injection valve from impact and simplify the structure of a cylinder head, concerning a cylinder injection engine.SOLUTION: The problem is solved as follows. A cylinder injection engine comprises: an engine having a cylinder block, a cylinder head and a chain case; a fuel injection valve on the upper face side of the cylinder head; a fuel pump mounted to the cylinder head; an air cleaner on the upper side of a transmission case; a turbocharger; and intake piping providing communication between the air cleaner and the turbocharger. In the cylinder injection engine, the chain case is arranged between the cylinder head and the cylinder block, and the transmission case, a chain case-mounting part is projected upward from the upper face side of the cylinder head, the intake piping is extended in a cylinder row direction across the upper side of the chain case-mounting part, the upper side of the fuel injection valve is covered by the intake piping, and the intake piping is fixed to at least one of the chain case-mounting part and the chain case by a fixture.
