Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion efficiency and exhaust emission control by atomization of a fuel of a cylinder injection-type engine.
SOLUTION: An atomizer 6 to be mounted on a nozzle part 5 of a fuel injection valve 36 for a cylinder injection-type engine is provided with a flow passage divergent part 8 for reducing the flow speed of fuel injected from a nozzle hole 4 by increasing the flow passage area larger than the nozzle hole 4 of the nozzle part 5, a pair of upper and lower slits 9, 10 having the flow passage area smaller than that of the flow passage divergent part 8, and the other pair of upper and lower slits 9, 10. Each pair of upper and lower slits 9, 10 intersect with each other so as to be partially overlapped on each other, and an intersection part 35 is taken as an injection hole for fuel. The injection holes 35 are deviated from a part just below the nozzle hole of the flow passage divergent part 8 and arranged symmetrically with respect to a central axis 38 of the flow passage divergent part 8. A swirler 2 for generating the swirling flow to fuel is arranged upstream of the nozzle 5.
