Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-safe feature for an increase in an intake air amount caused by a failure in an intake system, and suppress an abnormal increase in an engine rotational speed positively.
SOLUTION: This cylinder injection type fuel controller is provided with various types of sensors 20 which output the data indicating operating conditions of an internal combustion engine, an injector for injecting fuel directly in respective cylinders, and a control part 89 for computing a fuel supply amount F into the respective cylinders based on the operating conditions, and controls driving of the injector based on the fuel supply amount. The various types of sensors include an intake amount sensor which outputs the data corresponding to an intake air amount Qa, and a crank angle sensor for outputting the data θcorresponding to rotational speed Ne and a crank angle. The control part limits the driving width of an injection control signal J for the injector at an upper limit value corresponding to the operating condition.
