Abstract:

To provide sufficient combustibility by preventing a change in injection pressure of an air-fuel mixture injection valve in any cylinder, in a cylinder injection type multiple cylinder internal combustion engine including a plurality of the air-fuel mixture injection valves composed of fuel injection valves and air injection valves and attached to a multiple cylinder engine body in order to directly inject an air-fuel mixture to the combustion chamber of each cylinder, and an air pump driven by power transmission from a crankshaft and commonly connected to the air-fuel mixture injection valves in order to delivery compressed air, and performing explosions at irregular intervals.

The delivery timing of the air pump is set excluding the injection timing of the fuel injection valves and air injection valves in all the cylinders.
