To provide a cylinder liner device for a large 2-stroke diesel engine for improving lubrication of a traveling surface, and a shielding method of a cylinder liner in the large 2-stroke diesel engine.
This cylinder liner device 10 has a cylinder liner 3 for the large 2-stroke diesel engine 1. This invention provides the cylinder liner device 10 having the cylinder liner 3 for the large 2-stroke diesel engine 1 including a piston movable in the cylinder liner and a supply part of scavenging air. The cylinder liner 3 has a fixed scavenging slit 4, and has an opening bottom end part 3'. The cylinder liner device 10 further includes a shield element 9 arranged in a bottom part of the cylinder liner for reducing a quantity of water droplet entering the cylinder liner via the bottom end part in stroke motion of a piston by being carried together with the scavenging air.
