Abstract:
To provide a cylinder liner having a structure for improvement of cooling performance.
The cylinder liner is fitted in a cylinder block, comprises an upper stepped part fitted in an upper part of the cylinder block and a lower stepped part fitted in a lower part of the cylinder block, and includes a surface roughening treatment area 11a given a surface roughening treatment on its surface in an water jacket forming area 11 which is provided on a bore outer wall surface between the upper stepped part and the lower stepped part and defines a water jacket space together with an inner wall surface of the cylinder block.
