Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for the preparation of a removal exclusive key by enabling locking and release operation and rotor exchange operation by one key.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotor 6 is exchanged, a key K is rotated while being drawn to this side, an engaging projection 21 is engaged into a connecting recessed section 27 from a first step section 22, and the engaging projection 21 is passed on an inclined plane 27a and moved to a second step section 25 when the key K is further turned in the same direction. When the key K is revolved in the opposite direction while being pulled, the projection 21 is engaged into a guide groove 28, and shifted to the front of a cylinder lock along the guide groove 28, thus removing the rotor 6. When the key K is inserted into the keyhole of a new rotor 6 and tumblers are sunk in, the engaging projection 21 is applied onto the inclined plane for insertion and the rotor 6 is pushed in for inserting the new rotor 6, the projection 21 is projected when the projection 21 reaches the second step section 25 and is brought into press-contact with the second step section 25. When the rotor 6 is rotated, the engaging projection 21 is returned to the first step section 22 through an inclined plane 26 for return from the second step section 25, thus completing the mounting of the rotor.
