Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder pressure sensor accurately detecting a cylinder pressure over a wide range.SOLUTION: A cylinder pressure sensor comprises: a semiconductor element 10 provided to a constant current circuit; a mesa part 11 being a protrusion formed on an outer peripheral surface of the semiconductor element 10 and having a resistance value varying according to deformation; and a force transmission block fixed to a top surface 13 of the mesa part 11. Further, the cylinder pressure sensor outputs a signal corresponding to a voltage generated at both ends of the semiconductor element 10 as a signal corresponding to a cylinder pressure while the cylinder pressure being a pressure in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is being applied to the mesa part 11 via the force transmission block. The mesa part 11 of the cylinder pressure sensor includes: a foundation part 17; and a leading end part 18 protruding from the foundation part 17 and constituting the top surface 13. An area of a cross section parallel to the top surface 13 in the leading end part 18 is less than an area of a cross section parallel to the top surface 13 in the foundation part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
