In this cylinder valve, a valve element so having two or more openings in the side surface as to correspond to the openings of a valve guide is installed in the valve guide having, in the side surface, two or more openings serving as an inflow port and an outflow port. The valve element is rotated by rotating an operation part connected to the valve element to overlap the openings of the valve element with the openings of the valve guide or displacing them from each other for flowing or stopping water. A flow straightening means is installed on the inner peripheral part of the valve element, and the openings of the valve guide and the valve element are so arranged that, when water is stopped, the inflow port side opening is restricted earlier than or simultaneously with the outflow port side opening.
