PURPOSE: To provide a safe and fast aircraft which is of fine controllability, stable landing and is capable of transporting very heavy equipment with small energy.

CONSTITUTION: There are provided a horizontal chamber 1 housing a cockpit, or the like, a large gimbal ring 2 horizontally supporting the chamber 1, and a cylindrical balloon body 3 rotatably supporting the gimbal ring 2. A propeller 4 is attached in the cylindrical interior 3a of the above cylindrical balloon body 3 to be rotated by means of an engine 5. There are provided directional control means 6 for preventing rotation of the cockpit and for controlling the directions. The directional control means 6 control the above horizontal chamber 1 in a horizontal direction. Moreover, propeller means 7 for controlling the balloon body which control its attitude at the time of taking off, landing and in flight are provided on the cylindrical balloon body 3 so as to assist the landing together with a manipulator 9.
