Abstract:
To provide a cylindrical body for implant that is superior in kink resistance, and is capable of striking a balance between low extensibility and maintenance of a patency rate.SOLUTION: A cylindrical body for implant includes: a cylindrical base material where a longitudinal elongation rate under the conditions of applying a tensile load of 20 N is 5-100%; a first polymeric layer containing a first polymer comprising a polyalkylene glycol block and a polyhydroxy alkanoic acid block, and having a mass ratio of alkylene glycols residue being 25-60 mass%; and a second polymeric layer containing a second polymer comprising the polyalkylene glycol block and/or the polyhydroxy alkanoic acid block, and having a mass ratio of hydroxyalkanoic acid residue being 75-100 mass%. The first polymeric layer coats the cylindrical base material, and the second polymeric layer coats the first polymeric layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
