PURPOSE: To obtain a strong magnet having less irregularity by radially magnetizing a plurality of poles at an isotropic cylindrical ferrite and vertically axially magnetizing the one end face parts of the poles with respect to the radial direction, thereby forming pole groups of different number of poles.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of radially magnetizing coils 12 are arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical or circularly cylindrical yoke 11 of a magnetizing unit 10, and a plurality of axially magnetizing coils 14 are arranged at the second cylindrical yoke 12 integral at the center of the yoke 11. An isotropic cylindrical ferrite 20 is mounted on the unit 10, the inner peripheral surface of the ferrite 20 is faced with the outer peripheral surface of the yoke 11, and magnetizing current is flowed through the magnetizing coils 12, 14. A plurality of poles are radially magnetized at the ferrite 20, and a plurality of poles are magnetized vertically with respect to the radial direction on one end face, thereby forming a plurality of different pole groups, and strong magnet having less irregularity is produced.
