To provide a cylindrical object installation device and a cylindrical object positioning method capable of accurately positioning a cylindrical object and of easily performing the axial positioning of the cylindrical object even if it is not situated in a predetermined position in the axial direction.
This cylindrical object installation device can detachably install the cylindrical object 40 having a positioning line 40a in the circumferential direction. The cylindrical object installation device has a cylindrical object holding part 10 capable of holding the cylindrical object 40 and a main body 20 connected with the cylindrical object holding part 10. Between the cylindrical object 40 held by the cylindrical object holding part 10 and the main body 20, a plane mirror 30 is provided so as to face the cylindrical object 40. On the mirror face 30p of the plane mirror 30, a target line 30a is formed along a vertical face with respect to the axis of the cylindrical object 40 held by the cylindrical object holding part 10.
