Title:
CYLINDRICAL SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET AND MAGNETIZING METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3670708
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnet a magnet and a method which prevent decrease of a generated magnetic field with time and bring about a stable magnetic field, in regard to the application wherein cylindrical superconductors, not a usual coil of a wound wire rod, are magnetized to be made a magnetic field generating source such as a magnet.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical superconducting magnet and a magnetizing method thereof being composed of concentric seamless cylindrical superconductors in the number of N and having a mechanism whereby at least a part of the cylindrical superconductors in arbitrary numbers from one to N, beginning with the innermost-side one, is heated to a critical temperature or above so as to interrupt a ring-shaped superconducting current path in the circumferential direction and a mechanism which magnetizes the cylindrical superconductors from outside, or a superconducting magnet and a magnetizing method thereof having the cylindrical superconductors and having a mechanism which magnetizers a magnetic field in the axial direction of the superconductors and a mechanism which impresses an AC magnetic field in this axial direction. Herein the magnetizing mechanism and the AC magnetic field impressing mechanism may be separate devices or a device having the same coil and a DC-AC switching circuit of a current.
